Kristine graduated from the American Academy of Art where she studied watercolors with Irving Shapiro. She later studied with Thelma Cornell Spain.
After graduating she worked as an illustrator for a Chicago ad agency, production artist and graphic artist. Her illustrations have been in the Chicago Tribune and on full color packaging.
She has explored abstracts, landscapes, floral subjects, equine, and various pet portraits. As a horse owner, an active amateur dressage rider and competitor, she tries to capture the individuality of the horses she knows and loves. She has expanded into making hand poured candles along with designing Black Walnut Shell jewelry and home decor items.
Kristine’s paintings show strong use of color, giving life and vitality to her equine subjects, and are displayed in homes nationwide. Many of her art, candles, and other Black Walnut creations are on display at Black Walnut Ridge Gift Gallery, located in Twin Lakes, WI, USA
