Leaping Lipizzaner Original Watercolor
This watercolor painting is of a Lipizzaner Stallion performing a Capri-ole. The Capri-ole is a training movement preformed by the Spanish Riding School in Vienna Austria and at Tempel Farms Lipizzaner breeding facility in Wadsworth Il for their horse breed demonstrations. Lipizzaner breed of horses is a very old, from the 1400″s or older and was almost lost during World War II.
The image size: 14″ x 18″ matted to fit a 20″ x 24″ frame. It has a wet in wet technique mottled blue green purple to black background. I did not use any white paint and the white you see is the white of the paper. This is called a transparent watercolor.
The double acid-free mat colors are tan with a olive green inset.
