Magnolias Twilight Original Watercolor
Magnolias Twilight was painted on watercolor paper and is framed under glass with a white wood frame. The frame has a flower relief on it. The white of the painting is the actual watercolor paper. The transparent watercolor technique does not use white to achieve the light areas of the painting. The Saucer Magnolia tree which grows as far north as Illinois and Southern Wisconsin is much smaller than the Magnolia Grandeflora of the southern United States. It grows it’s flower from buds that wait all winter long to open in April, or even earlier in it’s southern zones.
The double acid free matting is cream with a rose grey insert.
